Age UK is looking for a first-class Senior Media Officer to play a crucial role as part of the policy & campaigns side of its media team.
The candidate should have experience working in media relations with a strong knowledge and understanding of current affairs and the political environment.
The role will involve developing and delivering media strategies for core influencing areas, building strong relationships with journalists, editors and broadcasters and playing a key part in the media team.
You will come from a media environment, with a strong news sense, political awareness and have a strong track record of delivering high quality national coverage. You will also have excellent writing and communications skills and be adept at spotting opportunities for attracting the media’s attention.
