Our men in sheds project is a place where like minded older men can come together and have a chat over tea and biscuits whilst carrying out meaningful DIY work - like activities that men enjoy doing.  We have received funding from the Big Lottery to develop the project over the next 5 years.

The shed aims to support older men aged 55 and over who may have experienced life changing events such as redundancy, retirement, bereavement and mental or physical ill-health. It may be that you are just looking for something new to do!

The shed is a safe, supportive and friendly place to meet, where men can socialise, do a bit of light work or busy themselves doing a hobby.

'Shedders' will have access to facilities and workshop space where they can share skills and learn skills.

It's an opportunity to get out and about and get involved in something new and different and continue to be happy and enjoy life as it should be.

It really does work. Members have said things like; 'I feel so much better for going to the shed, its good to have the banter with the other blokes' and 'before I joined the shed group I was bored and had nothing to do, now i am back to my jolly old self again'.

Interested?

Why not come along and have a look for yourself, looking costs nothing!
