Age UK Berkshire are pleased to be an accredited Living Wage Employer.
The Living Wage Foundation
This is a higher rate than the Government's "National Living Wage".
We ensure that all employees are paid at least the accredited Living Wage.
Age UK Berkshire also agrees to increase the amount which it pays to employees by the same amount as any increase in the accredited Living Wage within six months of the date of the official announcement.
Our commitment to paying the Living Wage also applies to all those of our employees who are employed on flexible contracts - we pay appropriate rates, give paid holiday and paid travel costs and training.

Pay Ratio for Age UK Berkshire
The Pay Ratio is one way for an organisation or company to demonstrate how the salary of the highest- paid employee compares with all other employees: how fair the range of pay is across the organisation.
For Age UK Berkshire in 2013/14, the highest earner's salary rate expressed as a multiple of the median of all salary rates was 2.27.
In 2014/15, the highest earner's salary rate expressed as a multiple of the median of all salary rates was 2.17.
In 2015/16, the highest earner's salary rate expressed as a multiple of the median of all salary rates was 2.09 which we hope demonstrates our continuing commitment, even in tough economic times, to reward equitably across our organisation.
This compares very favourably with other organisations and companies (some declared Public Sector Pay Ratios are as high as 10 or 15 and some financial companies in three-figures) and demonstrates that Age UK Berkshire is trying to be a good and fair employer, as well as a charity that helps people love later life.
