Support older people in your community
Legacy income helps an independent local charity like ourselves to plan more effectively for the future and to safeguard our services.
We recognise that not everyone can afford to help Age UK Blackburn with Darwen financially when they wish to, particularly if you are living on a fixed income.
A gift in your Will once you have provided for friends and family is a valuable way to support our work and to help make a difference to the lives of older people in the future.
This was the case when we were recently left a legacy by a volunteer. The legacy enabled us to continue providing our valuable free advice and information service to older people and their carers.
How do I leave a gift in my Will?
Your Will must clearly state 'Age UK Blackburn with Darwen, registered charity 1143809' to ensure that the gift is kept locally.
We would also be grateful if you could let us know if you have included us in your will.
How do I make a Will?
We provide information and details of things you need to consider when making a Will at our Blackburn and Darwen advice and information offices.
We are unable to provide legal advice or assist with drawing up or altering a will at our offices but we do hold regular will making sessions in both Blackburn and Darwen. Please contact us using the details below for further information.
