Feeling isolated and lonely can have a really detrimental affect on both physical and mental wellbeing. Our befriending service offers friendship and support to older people who may be living alone, housebound or who need extra support to help get out and about and attend local activities. Our friendly volunteers will be in touch regularly to check that you are ok and to have a chat. Conversations can range from current affairs, recent activities, health, the weather or just 'putting the world to rights' and all our volunteers are great listeners too. Friendships that last a lifetime are often developed so please get in touch.
