Turbary Park Day Centre

We provide a quality day service for vulnerable older people by promoting a healthy and fulfilled lifestyle. We enable and empower each individual to exercise their rights to inclusion, independence and choice.

The day centre is designed for those people that do not meet the criteria for social services day care but that may be too frail or dependent to attend one of our low level support lunch clubs. This could be due to mobility issues, sight or hearing impairment, mental health issues, low level dementia etc.

The day centre is equipped to provide healthy, nutritious meals of a high standard and a range of activities.

In our day centres our aim is to deliver services in a 'person centred' way designed to promote the health and well-being of people in our care. Staff will do this by using information obtained from the service user, their carer(s) and from their assessment.

An assessment could consist of some of the following elements:

> Emotional support
> Mental stimulation
> Physical stimulation
> Social interaction
> Special dietary requirements

The centre operates once per week on Tuesdays 10.00am to 3.00pm

The following are provided:

- a two course meal
- refreshments such as tea, coffee and soft drinks
- activities
- transport

The cost for the day including transport is £18.00

If you can make your own transport arangements the cost is £12.00

Transport is only available for those living in postcodes BH1 - BH14 and some of the areas BH15 & 17
