Help older people living locallyJoin us!

Age UK Calderdale & Kirklees provides a wide range of services for the benefit of older people.

 

Volunteers are at the heart of many of the activities, and are critical to our ability to reach out to engage with older people and communities.

 

We welcome volunteers of all ages in any of the following services:

  • Befriending
  • Drivers
  • Information and advice
  • Central administration
  • Local Link
  • Advocacy

Useful information

All our volunteers receive training and support in their role, and the opportunities to develop into new areas of interest and activity. In common with our staff, volunteers who might work on their own with vulnerable people are checked through the Criminal Records Bureau.

Anyone interested in volunteering should contact our Head Office on 01422 252 040 initially, to obtain further details and to arrange to meet the lead member of staff for the section where they are considering volunteering.
