Charity shops
Our shops make an important contribution to our fundraising by selling donated goods, wool, Christmas cards and more. They are also a first point of contact for many people. All money raised is spent in Carlisle and Eden to benefit older people.
Locations and opening hours
We run 4 charity shops in Eden, based in Penrith, Shap, Alston and Kirkby Stephen. We also run 4 shops in Carlisle, and 1 in Brampton.

Donation of goods
We welcome donations of goods to sell in our shops - ie good, clean quality clothes, books, bric- a- brac etc. Either drop them off at your nearest shop, or if you don't have transport contact us to arrange collection.
Our Lowther Street shop also distributes collection bags to your door which are picked up a few days later.
We regret that for health and safety reasons we are unable to accept donations of electrical items or furniture.
Can you help?
We have a friendly team of volunteers in each of our shops and we are always pleased to welcome new volunteers. If you are looking to make new friends and have a few hours to spare, please consider volunteering in our shops. Full training and expenses are available. Visit our volunteering page to find out more about becoming a shop volunteer.
