Please note, if you reside within a rural area (5 miles from Carlisle or Penrith city center), the price for this service is £20.00 to cover the additional mileage costs and travel time associated.

At Age UK Carlisle and Eden we understand how difficult some every day tasks become as we get older and that is why we are pleased to introduce our HOME SUPPORT service

This is a quality, competitively priced home help service, aiming to help people maintain their independence within their own homes.

We offer to help with a wide range of weekly chores, as well as supporting personal wellbeing and social inclusion.

Below is a list of some of the tasks our Home Support service can undertake:

-Vacuuming
-Changing bedding
-Laundry
-Ironing
-Dusting
-Light meal preparation
-Local shopping (basic)
-Wellbeing visits/companionship
-Collecting prescriptions
-Dealing with correspondence/making telephone calls
-Assisting/accompanying to appointments, and/or social activities.

The aim of HOME SUPPORT is to offer practical person centred support to each individual. Therefore the service can be adapted and tailored to suit each persons individuals needs.

Our HOME SUPPORT consists of a caring, compassionate team who are employed by Age UK Carlisle and Eden and undergo all relevant training and DBS checks.
