Position: Support Officer - Advocacy Team

Salary: £6,992 pa (for 17 hours)

 

We are currently looking to recruit a Support Officer to provide administrative support to our Advocacy team and the meetings of the Cheshire Independent Advocacy Service. The role will be based in our Hartford office in Northwich.

 

The job holder will provide general administrative and clerical assistance which will include receiving referrals into the service, liaising with our Advocates and a broad range of service providers, producing statistics, minute taking at meetings and recording client details onto a CRM database.

 

The post is for 17 hours per week and there is some flexibility in how these could be worked over a week, but they must include Friday working.

 

The job holder will require effective communication skills, both written and oral and sound administration skills including IT skills including prior experience of using Microsoft Office suite, internet, email and databases

Support Officer, Advocacy - Job Description

 

 

 

Position: Wellbeing Co-ordinator

Salary: £20,881pa

 

Age UK Cheshire is working in partnership with Age UK Cheshire East and the East Cheshire NHS Trust to implement a pilot initiative which runs until the end of August 2015 introducing Wellbeing Coordinators to work as part of the new integrated neighbourhood/extended practice teams. The role will be based within the GP practices in Shavington, Crewe and Nantwich establishing referral pathways to preventative and wellbeing services and activities in the community. They will support individuals to build personal resilience in self-managing their health and wellbeing through assessment and review of individual needs, development of individual wellbeing plans, and motivating behavioural change.


The job requires someone with:-

 

• The ability to recognise mental and physical health problems and identify when further advice is required

 

• Understanding of the role preventative services play within Health and Social Care

 

• Knowledge of the local area, networks and communities

 

• Understanding of motivational interviewing techniques

 

• Knowledge of health improvement interventions including managing long-term conditions

 

• Experience of working with the public

 

• Experience of inter-agency working

 

• Experience of service development and evaluation.

This post is based on working 29 hours a week which can be worked over 4 or 5 days. The job holder needs to be able to travel freely across Cheshire for business purposes.

The position requires somebody who has:-

 

• Educational attainment at degree level or equivalent

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Good written & verbal communication skills with awareness of the need for confidentiality at all times

• Good listening skills with the ability to adopt appropriate style and method of communication

• Ability to recognise mental and physical health problems and identify when further advice is required

• Ability to work to tight deadlines

• Ability to drive and the use of a car for business purposes

• Good organisational skills including information, resources and time management, and ability to establish and manage systems and processes

• IT skills, including word processing and databases

• Understanding of the role preventative services play within Health and Social Care

• Knowledge of the local area, networks and communities

 

Hours of work are 29 hours per week, to be worked over 4 or 5 days with occasional evening or weekend work required. The role will require some travel across Cheshire. Salary: £20,881 per annum. This post is subject to an Enhanced Criminal Disclosure.

Wellbeing Co-ordinator, Ellesmere Port Hospital - Job Descrition

 


 

Position: Apprentice Administration Assistant

Salary: £5,051 pa

 

We are looking to recruit an Apprentice to join the administration team at our offices in Hartford, Northwich.  The role will provide general administrative support to the organisation and will be the first point of contact for visitors and external contacts to the organisation.  This post is supported by a Government scheme available to 16-18 year olds and NVQ training and accreditation will be delivered through Total People.  The role is expected to be required for 12/18 months (dependent upon training requirements).

Charity Retail Opportunities

We are in an exciting period of expansion for our Charity Shops and need to recruit new staff with the drive to realise our dreams!  We have an ambitious plan to open lots of new shops in the next couple of years and need to recruit extra staff to help us deliver this programme.
