The project has been providing physical activities such as Tai Chi and walks, and social activities including community choirs and art groups, in rural locations across Cheshire East for the past four years.
Fit as a Fiddle programmes have also been run in South Lakeland area, Lancashire, Mid Mersey, and Oldham. Through all the projects, Fit as a Fiddle in the Northwest has made a huge impact, benefiting the lives of older people in many ways. Age UK Cheshire East wants to ensure that existing projects are continued, new groups are developed and the legacy created by Fit as a Fiddle can benefit generations to come.
