Beat the Scammers is for anyone aged over 50 who receive fraudulent/nuisance telephone calls and would benefit from getting advice and practical suggestions on how to deal with them. Older people are targeted ruthlessly over the phone resulting in large amounts of money being obtained fraudulently.
Age UK County Durham will only call you to offer a service that has been requested
- We will never ask for your bank card PIN number
- We will never come to your home unannounced or without an arranged appointment
