Equal opportunities policy

Equal Opportunities Policy Statement

Age UK Croydon is an Equal Opportunites organisation. We are committed to being fair to people.

It is important that we recognise everyone's talents and values and respect each other for our diversity. We're all different, and learning to work with people's differences, whether obvious or not, should lead to
improved morale and motivation.

Without an effective equal opportunites policy, we risk failing to use the full potential of everyone in Age UK Croydon. It is our policy that everyone should be treated equally regardless of their age, colour, disability, employment status, ethnic origin, gender, HIV status, marital status, nationality, religion, sexuality or trade union activities.

Everyone has the right to be treated with dignity, and to be in an environment free from abuse, offensive behaviour, harassment, bullying, prejudice, discrimination or victimisation. Each of us has a responsibility
for ensuring that we protect that right and make our policy work.

We believe in equal opportunitieseveryone should be treated equallyEveryone has the right to be treated with dignityWe do not discriminate against anyone
