Volunteering at Age UK Croydon
At Age UK Croydon we consider volunteers to be our most valuable resource. We currently have about 100 volunteers, who mostly help us for one day or two half days per week.
If you volunteer with us, you'll receive full induction training, and you'll be expected to attend regular training and support meetings relevant to your particular role. Our volunteers also have a regular Newsletter, Forum Meetings, and occasional social events including a Summer Outing and a New Year Party. We want volunteering with us to be a positive experience for all concerned.
At Age UK Croydon we have clear expectations from our volunteers. Essential qualities include reliability and commitment, an empathy with the needs of older people, and a friendly, patient and helpful manner. Our staff and volunteers represent the diverse culture and community whom we serve.
Age UK Croydon aims to enhance the independence, dignity and quality of life for all older people in the Borough of Croydon, and the range of services and support we provide would not be possible without the help of our volunteers.
If you think you'd like to volunteer with us, please first of all review the list of current vacancies. If you find a vacancy that would suit you, please go to the 'How to apply' page which will guide you through the next steps.
