Community Health and Employment Partnership

Age UK Croydon’s Community Health and Employment Partnership

The CHEP programme allows AUKC to offer individual support to unemployed people over 50 into work or training.

This project aims to help primarily, but not exclusively, older men who face barriers such as long term unemployment, anxiety, lack of confidence, isolation or just lack current skills. Support takes the form of one-to-one sessions wherein participants have an action plan drawn up and regularly scheduled follow up meetings. Also a course focussed on improving confidence, self-esteem, CVs and interview preparation.  Healthy lifestyles activities are also embedded into this programme, to help the person achieve a work and home life balance.

Referrals can be made through external or internal colleagues and partners. All they have to do is contact Paul Venn at the Brigstock Road office on 020 8683 7100 (or email: paul.venn@ageukcroydon.org.uk) to set up an appointment and we’ll do the rest.
