Make your voice heard

The Rule Out Abuse campaign has gone from strength to strength, and we've been overwhelmed by the support received from individuals who believe there should be a new law which ensures older people are protected and supported against abuse.

However, there is still a long way to go. And we need your help.

We need to make sure the new law is the law we really need. This law should support people to express their views and exercise their rights.

Independent advocates are able to support people to make their wishes heard, and help them to make informed choices. They are a vital support service for people who have been abused.

Please take two minutes to watch our video below and listen to Gwen's* story about the support she received from an advocate.

Meet the people affected

Take Action

We need every single Assembly Member to support the Rule Out Abuse campaign, so that the National Assembly for Wales passes the law we need to support and protect people from abuse.

Please send a letter to your Assembly Member and ask them to ensure that the new law we need gives people at risk of abuse the right to an indpendent advoacte. The right to have their voice heard.

You can download a copy of the template letter, to adapt and send below
