The Age Cymru Gala Dinner and Awards is our black tie event that enables us to celebrate individuals and organisations that made exceptional contributions to the lives of older people in Wales in 2016. The award categories are as follows:
To recognise an individual who has contributed significantly to creating an age friendly Wales.
Care Home Award
This award recognises a care home that has gone the extra mile in helping to ensure their residents enjoy a fully enriched life.
Business Award (SME)
Recognising a business with fewer than 250 employees that has made a significant contribution to creating an age friendly Wales.
Business Award (Large)
This award recognises a large business with more than 250 employees that has made a significant contribution to creating an age friendly Wales.
To recognises a group or service that has made a positive impact on the lives of older people in Wales.

The event, which has become one of the biggest of its kind in Wales, also provides an ideal opportunity to network amongst some of the key individuals, businesses and organisations providing services to older people within an informal and friendly atmosphere.
We like our guests to have lots of fun at our showcase event, and of course we will have our usual range of money can’t buy prizes in our fabulous auction. There'll be lots of dancing and partying too.
