March is the month when we in Wales wear our daffodils and leeks with pride, support the Six Nations, and of course, celebrate St David’s day. So we're asking the people of Wales to do something to celebrate our country and raise money to the support older people of Wales - be patriotic, fun and charitable!

So what can you do to get involved? Providing it’s safe and legal, anything goes, but to get you going here are a few ideas...

The Welsh cake bake off
Who can bake the best Welsh cakes? Either follow our recipe in the fundraising pack or use your own.

Wear your Six Nations colours
Ask your friends and colleagues to wear their national colour with pride for the day.

Hold a traditional Welsh twmpath
Get together with friends and enjoy an evening of dancing and music.

What do you know?
Hold a Welsh themed quiz night.

We’re sure you’ll come up with lots more inspirational ideas for how you’d like to celebrate Wales. We'd love to see local communities, schools and workplaces across Wales get involved and raise vital money to help support the most vulnerable older people in Wales.

You can download a fundraising pack in English or Welsh below or contact us at fundraising@agecymru.org.uk if you would like a pack sent in the post to you.  The packs are free and full of useful things to help plan and have fun at your Big Welsh Fundraiser

Whatever you do, let us know – tweet, facebook or e-mail us your pictures and we’ll feature as many as we can.
