Can you help campaign for better public toilets in Wales?
As part of the Community Calculator campaign, Age Cymru found that 54% of older people consider public toilet facilities in their local area to be unsatisfactory. We believe that public toilet provision in Wales is an issue which requires urgent action.
We are delighted to support the Welsh Senate of Older People's P is for People campaign, which calls on the Welsh Government to make providing public toilets compulsory for local authorities in Wales.
The Welsh Senate of Older People has developed a campaign toolkit, which contains lots of tips and advice to help you start to campaign for improvements to public toilets where you live.

The Welsh Senate of Older People held a Day of Action on Wednesday 16th November 2011 at the Senedd, Cardiff Bay.
The Day of Action was a great success. Over 80 people came from across Wales to take part in the rally on the steps of the Senedd and to speak with their Assembly Members in Ty Hywel. 36 Assembly Members came along to speak with their constituents, which is a tremendous achievement. You can read more about the Day of Action and watch a short video on the BBC News Wales website.
The Welsh Senate of Older People will continue to campaign for improvements to public toilets, so that people of all ages can be confident of being able to access a toilet when away from their home.
If you would like to find out more about how you can join in the P is for People campaign, please contact campaigns@agecymru.org.uk.
