The service provides support for socially isolated older people in Monmouthshire within their local communities.

This service offers support to older people in Monmouthshire and provides the opportunity to -

- Prevent loneliness and isolation
- Improve wellbeing, both physical and mental
- Maintain / improve mobility
- Develop new skills and or hobbies

The service provides lunch clubs and other daily link clubs across the county of Monmouthshire. Outside speakers such as the Police, Fire Brigade, Community nurses etc. are invited to give talks. However should there be a request for a broader subject or topic, it will always be considered.

The service offers:

- Exercise classes
- Bingo and other games
- Arts and crafts etc.
- Music and dance where bands have occasionally come in to perform for groups

And many more…

A person may be referred to the community support service by family members, social services, a friend or carer or you may choose to contact us personally.

The service operates Monday to Friday and is in addition to any help that Social Services or other agencies may already be providing.
