We provide vital services for older people in Gwynedd a Môn which are wide ranging and cover the whole of the area of Gwynedd a Môn.Please click on a service from the menus below for more information.
This service provides independent, impartial and confidential advice on almost any non-legal issue.
This service provides free help and advice on benefits relevant to people over the age of 50. Home visits are also available.
This service provides trained staff to help with cleaning and domestic tasks that can become a burden.
This scheme allows older people in Gwynedd to go out shopping with a carer. Its aim is to retain a person’s choice and independence. Places on this scheme are limited.
These centres aim to support older people who wish to remain living in the community, but need additional contact and support.
Lunch clubs offer friendship, recreation and support and can be a great way to meet up with friends. There are various clubs held throughout Gwynedd and Anglesey.
This service was set up with the Alzheimer’s Society and provides 5 hours of free service. Hours can be used for a range of activities. Places on this scheme are limited.
Hafan is situated in Bangor town centre. It's used by many people to meet friends or for a rest. Carers can also use hafan for respite for an hour or so.
We support the development of 3 centres, which hold numerous activities such as tai chi, yoga and bingo. The centres are situated in Amlwch, Brynsiencyn and Llangefni.
Trained staff will carry out an assessment and fit free smoke detectors, if they are required.
Around 60 over 50's clubs in Gwynedd and Anglesey are affiliated to Age Cymru Gwynedd a Môn. They pay a £10 annual fee, and members are invited to our AGM and forum meetings.
The Age UK group offers a range of products and services tailor made for the over 50s.
We support the development of Age Well Gwynedd, wich holds numerous activities such as tai chi, yoga and bingo. The centre is situated in Nefyn.
If you are feeling lonely or a bit cut off and would like someone to visit you in your own home for companionship and support contact Cadwyn Môn, a new Big Lottery Funded befriending service for Anglesey residents.
