Physical Activity

Keeping fit doesn't have to be hard work and will keep you warm and well, particularly during the winter.

You don't have to go outside, particularly if it's too cold or icy.  There are plenty of things you can do indoors which can keep you fit such as:

Dancing

Hoovering

Climbing Stairs

Generally, we all know that keeping fit is good for us and there are a range of ways to get fit from a walk in your local park to taking advantage of the free swimming offer to people over 60 years old.  For further details ask at your local leisure centre or visit www/wales.gov.uk/freeswimming.

Other fun activities

If any of the below activities interest you then contact Age Cymru or your local Age Concern office for information about local clubs and societies that provide them:

Aerobic exercise classes
Walking or cycling groups
Ten pin bowling
Yoga
Tai Chi
Line Dancing
Ballroom Dancing

Your local Age Concern may also run physical activity sessions and a host of other activities that may interest you.
