LIFT is a series of activities and games designed to get older people taking part in physical activity in your local community. The session are fun and enjoyable and everyone who comes along has a good time. All of the exercises are done using safe seated and standing exercises so you can always work at a level that's comfortable for you. The sessions are also designed specifically for people who are 50+ so it's never too late to get started. LIFT exercise class

It's a physical activity that can help you improve your own health and wellbeing in a safe and sociable manner.

Age Cymru delivers LIFT training courses which are designed to enable people to deliver LIFT sessions to older people in their local community. This course is suitable for volunteers, community workers, staff and activity coordinators.

We are actively recruiting LIFT volunteers in Cardiff and South East Wales area to deliver the programme in their local area. 

So would you like to volunteer to run gentle exercise classes for older people in your area? 

We provide a free four day course on LIFT (Low Impact Functional training) for people who want to volunteer and this will give you all the skills and knowledge you need to lead classes in your local area.  We'd love you to join us.
