£80,000 for Age Cymru Enterprises gas customers

This year, Age Cymru Enterprises gas customers are set to receive additional Cold Weather Payments of £80,227.
Age Cymru Enterprises is working in partnership with Age UK Enterprises, the commercial services arm of the charity Age UK, and E.ON to issue the payments in Wales.
UK-wide, Cold Weather Payment payouts totalling more than £5.6 million will be awarded to gas customers on E.ON's Age UK Energy tariffs, with more than £1.7m of this figure going to customers over the age of 80.
The guaranteed Cold Weather Payment, funded by E.ON, has been designed to offer some financial relief and peace of mind to those in later life to customers across the UK, and is in addition to the UK Government's Cold Weather Payment.
Robert Taylor, Age Cymru's Chef Executive said:
"We know that the cost of keeping warm in winter can be a concern to older people.
"That's why, with the support of E.ON, we give all our gas customers an additional Cold Weather Payment on top of the UK Government's payment to offer them a little extra support when they need it most.
"This year, Age Cymru Enterprises's gas customers will receive an extra £80,227 from the total of £5.6 million which equates to £20 per household on average."
