Our soon-to-open Caerphilly charity shop is appealing to local ladies to give it any handbags that they’re not using.
Age Cymru’s new shop at 69-71 Cardiff Road is going to open for business a week today - Monday 16 September.
Shop manager Rhodri Welsh says:
“Age Cymru’s very excited to be setting up shop in Caerphilly.
“We’re gearing up for opening day and pulling out all the stops to make sure we’re ready for 16 September.
“The paint’s dry, the shelves and displays are almost all up, but we were looking through our stock recently and realised we’re desperately short of handbags.
“If anyone in the Caerphilly area has any handbags that they’re not using any more, we would be tremendously grateful if they donated them to Age Cymru.
“The handbags don’t need to be Louis Vuitton or Burberry - but we will accept those as well!”
If you can't get to the shop on Cardiff Road to make a donation Age Cymru offers a free collection service in the Caerphilly area.
To arrange a collection - however large or small, please call 02920 865897 and speak to Rhodri or Maelle and they’ll take it from there.
