Age Cymru Older People's Consultative Forum

Published on 15 December 2010 04:00 PM

Age Cymru is setting up and recruiting members for the Age Cymru Older People's Consultative Forum.

The move follows consultations with older people across Wales in recent months about how they can be fully involved in developing the charity's strategies, policies and areas of work.

Age Cymru Chief Executive Rob Taylor says:

"The Age Cymru Older People's Consultative Forum is a landmark in the development of our charity.

"It will ensure that the strategic direction of Age Cymru is directly informed and influenced by older people.

"It will advise on the development and implementation of the charity's policy positions on ageing and older people.

"The forum will provide feedback about Age Cymru's key activities and help us with monitoring and reviewing our work.

"Age Cymru would like to invite anyone who may be interested in joining the Older People's Consultative Forum to contact us.

"This is an opportunity to directly influence and contribute to the work of Age Cymru and make a difference to the lives of older people across Wales."

Whilst there is no payment for being a member of the Age Cymru Older People's Consultative Forum, Age Cymru will cover out-of-pocket expenses incurred by members for attending meetings and events.
