An early Christmas present

Published on 29 November 2012 10:00 AM

Christmas has come early for 130 South Wales pensioners thanks to Western Power Distribution.

The company has provided funding for them all to attend Age Cymru's festive concert at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff tonight.

World-renowned Welsh soprano Gwawr Edwards is headlining our ‘Spread the Warmth' winter concert.

Morriston Orpheus Choir and the Howell's School Choir are also on the bill of the sell-out event, which Arfon Haines Davies is hosting.

Says Age Cymru's Director of Income Resources Richard Nicholls:

"We're very grateful to Western Power Distribution for supporting Age Cymru's Spread the Warmth winter concert.

"The company's generous gesture will give 130 older people from across South Wales an early taste of Christmas and some unbeatable entertainment.

"We've got an excellent line-up for the Spread the Warmth concert and we're proud to have such major talents as the Morriston Orpheus Choir, Howells School Choir, world-renowned soprano Gwawr Edwards as our headliner and Arfon Haines Davies to host."
