Donate a Coat

Published on 07 November 2012 09:30 AM

Age Cymru is asking the public to spread some warmth this winter by giving us your unwanted coats.

We're launching our Donate a Coat appeal today, as part of our annual Spread the Warmth winter campaign.

You can hand in their coats at Age Cymru shops and offices in Bangor, Cardiff, Colwyn Bay, Ebbw Vale, Mold, Monmouth, Pontypridd, Porthcawl, Rhyl, Shotton, and Wrexham.

Our Head of Retail Kevin Sheriton says:

"Age Cymru runs its yearly Spread the Warmth campaign to help make winter warmer for tens of thousands of older people across Wales.

"We do this by providing older people with information, advice and practical services so that they can stay warm and well, but we need the public's help to do this.

"Please support the Donate a Coat appeal by giving your unwanted coats to your local Age Cymru shop, and help us to Spread the Warmth this winter".

The Donate a Coat appeal will culminate in February with an auction of celebrity coats and donated goods, which was supported last winter by Rhys Ifans, Rhod Gilbert, Rhydian Roberts, Cerys Matthews and Derek Brockway.
