Free 'legal MOT' at Neath solicitors

Published on 29 November 2013 12:00 PM

Neath residents can have a mince pie and free legal advice at an event in the town on December 4.

Local solicitors Jenny Melly Law will be offering callers to their office a free ‘legal MOT' and seasonal cheer between 11.00am and 1.00pm.

The company is holding the event in support of Age Cymru's ‘Spread the Warmth' winter campaign.

Jennifer Melly of Jennifer Melly Law says:

"Following the success of June's free wills month in aid of Age Cymru which raised over £1,000 for the charity, we are pleased to be holding a ‘Winter Warmer' event on Wednesday December 4 between 11.00am and 1.00pm.

"It will be an opportunity for people to come in to the office to have a cup of tea and a mince pie and discuss any legal issues.

"There will also be a representative from Age Cymru here to help older people prepare for the cold weather by handing out 20 free fleece jackets and thermometers.

"So please pop along and see us at our offices on 45 Alfred Street in Neath on December 4 - the kettle will be on and there'll be mince pies and a warm welcome."

Jennifer Melly Law will be giving advice on issues such as preparing a will, funeral plans, the importance of preparing Powers of Attorney and general advice on paying for care.

Michael Phillips from Age Cymru says:

"Spread the Warmth is Age Cymru's annual campaign which supports isolated and vulnerable older people in Wales through the winter months.

"We're very grateful to Jennifer Melly Law for their continued support for our charity and for organising this ‘Winter Warmer' event for older people in the Neath area."

Jennifer Melly Law is based at 45 Alfred Street, Neath, SA11 1EH.
