Free winter checklist

We're offering Wales' over-60s a free checklist to help them keep well, safe and warm over the winter months.

The Keep Well this Winter campaign has produced the checklist to give older people advice on staying well, safe and warm over the winter.

Joanne Bass, our Keep Well this Winter Coordinator says:

"Older people need to look after their health during the winter months and the Keep Well This Winter campaign aims to provide help and advice to help them do just that.

"The tips we've published on our winter checklist are some of the best ways you'll find to keep your home warm, keep on top of the bills and stay healthy.

"The checklist is a free bilingual guide that will give you advice on keeping well, keeping safe and keeping warm.

"You can get a copy of it from Age Cymru shops and our local partners across the country."

The Keep Well this Winter Checklist features advice on the following:

• Annual flu jab;
• Healthy diet;
• Keeping active;
• Health worries;
• Medicines management;
• Avoiding slips and trips;
• Home security;
• Fire safety;
• Heating;
• Energy efficiency;
• Benefit entitlements;
• Saving money on energy bills;
• Gas safety;

Keep Well this Winter is a Welsh Government campaign run by Age Cymru.
