Happy birthday to Age Cymru's Pontypridd shop

Published on 03 July 2015 04:00 PM

Thanks to everyone who turned up yesterday (Thursday 2 July) to celebrate the first birthday of Age Cymru’s shop in Pontypridd.

Our staff and volunteers enjoyed meeting members of the public who called by to the shop at 89b - 90 Taff Street, for a drink and a piece of cake.

The shop – or ‘hub’ as we call it, is a contemporary charity shop that sells a selection of clothes, bric-a-brac and books.

It also provides an information and advice service for local people and sells financial products such as insurance and independent living goods, including stairlifts.

Since we opened the Age Cymru shop a year ago, we’ve had fantastic support from the people of Pontypridd and the surrounding areas with around 400 visitors a week crossing our threshold.

Thank you for all the unwanted clothes and goods that have been donated to us over the last 12 months.

We’re also looking for volunteers, so if you want to help out in your local community and get that ‘feelgood factor’, please contact us on 01443 406179 or pop into the shop for a chat.
