Home security advice at Splott Market

Published on 15 February 2016 03:30 PM

Cardiff and Penarth residents can come for advice about keeping their homes warm, safe and secure at Splott Market on Thursday 18 February.

Our HandyVan fitter Sean Overbury will be on hand to deal with questions from members of the public.

Last year, Sean helped more than 600 older people in Cardiff and Penarth by installing products to keep their homes warmer, safer and more secure.

"HandyVan is a home security and home safety service for over 50s run by Age Cymru with the support of Wales & West Utilities, which runs the gas network across the area", says Sean.

"I install home security and safety products - such as carbon monoxide detectors, grab rails and banisters.

"I can offer advice and tips on almost anything to do with home safety and security - from door and window locks, to door chains and door viewers."

Sean adds:

"I can even give you advice about energy efficiency to save you money on your heating bill, so please pop along to see me at Splott Market for a chat on Thursday from 9.00am."
