Jennifer Melly Law raises £2,237 for Age Cymru

We'd like to say a big 'Thank you' to the Neath law firm Jennifer Melly Lawn for raising £2,237 for Age Cymru.

During June, the company ran ‘free wills month' and offered clients the chance to donate the fee they paid to have their will written to Age Cymru.

Says Jennifer Melly from Jennifer Melly Law, which is based at 45 Alfred Street in Neath:

"Our ‘free wills month' was very popular with local residents, and, with their support, we raised a fantastic £2,237 for Age Cymru.

"We are very glad to be able to have done our bit to support Wales' largest charity for older people.

"On a serious note, it's very important to make a will- it means that you are able to decide yourself what will happen to your money and your belongings when you pass away.

"If you don't make a will, your property and money may not go to the people you intended."

Commenting on the donation, our colleague Michael Phillips said:

"Age Cymru is very grateful to Jennifer Melly Law for running its ‘free will month' and encouraging will makers to give the fee they would normally pay to our charity.

"We want to lift as many older people as possible out of poverty and to combat loneliness and isolation amongst Welsh pensioners through our activities.

"This donation from Jennifer Melly Law and the people of Neath will provide a huge boost to our work."
