Each week this winter we've published a simple health tip to help older people in Wales keep warm, safe and well.

This week, in her last update, Joanne Bass, our Keep Well this Winter Coordinator offers advice on fire safety.

Joanne says:

"Fire safety is especially important during the winter.

"Your local fire and tescue service will carry out a free home fire safety check for you and fit smoke alarms if you do not already have them.

"Call them on 0800 169 1234 for more information.

"If you use an electric blanket get it tested every three years and remember to never to use an electric blanket and hot water bottle together."
