My Home Life Cymru is a ground-breaking care home programme involving residents, relatives and staff to promote quality of life.

The conference theme is 'Getting the most from good practice in care homes' and there will be debate about the importance of working together.

It is sponsored by Barchester Healthcare.

My Home Life Cymru Programme Manager, John Moore, says;
"We're delighted to welcome delegates from across the care sector today to our sixth annual conference in Cardiff to promote quality of life.

"Delegates will hear from our prestigious speakers from across the care sector and the opportunity to watch our new film sharing real-life experiences in Welsh care homes.

"We look forward to generating debate and discussion with our delegates and inspiring them to work more collaboratively and share good practice."

Deputy Minister for Social Services, Gwenda Thomas AM, will be delivering a key-note speech at the event which has attracted over 150 delegates.

Care home managers will also be sharing their personal stories about their inspirational projects after receiving grants from the Burdett Trust for Nursing and Ag Cymru Grant Programme.
