New Age Cymru Pontypridd 'hub' opens its doors

Our new Pontypridd shop is providing expert advice to local residents with our new community ‘hub' right in the heart of Taff Street.
Our trusted expert advisors are available to help local residents make the right decisions from finance to insurance as well as providing a personalised advice service.
Last year, we put over half a million pound back into the pockets of local older people through our benefit advice service in the area.
Pontypridd residents can also fill their bags with some retail goods whilst visiting the ‘hub', with a large amount already flying out the door during the first week of opening.
Chief Executive, Ian Thomas said:
"We are delighted to open our very first community ‘hub' and resource centre right in the heart of Pontypridd.
"After growing up in the local area, I'm proud that we're able to provide local older people expert advice and assistance by our highly trained advisors.
"Our ‘hub' provides an ‘age friendly' space thanks to retail designers Hughes Escott, with future plans to rent out our upstairs spaces to groups and associations."

Age Cymru Pontypridd is currently looking for volunteers to help with stock control and customer service as well as donations for the shop.
