Art-loving over 50s in Wales can now find out about what’s going on in their local area on their mobile phones.

That’s thanks to a free new app from Age Cymru’s Gwanwyn arts festival for over 50s which is available from iTunes.

Phil Thomas, from the Gwanwyn festival says:

“We’re always looking at new and creative ways to get older people involved with the arts.

“Our new app – which you can download to your iPhone and iPad, is aimed at keeping you in touch with the arts world in Wales.

“The app will tell you about Gwanwyn events in your area; let you listen to our exclusive podcasts and watch Gwanwyn videos on YouTube.

“It also allows you to visit the Gwanwyn website where you can read about our projects and find out how to get involved with them”.

Getting the new app is easy:

• Visit the app store on iTunes;
• Search for ‘Gwanwyn’;
• Click on the button that says ‘Free’;
• Click on the button that says ‘Install app’;

Gwanwyn is asking members of the public for their views about the new app – please download the app, try it out and send your comments to iphoneapp@gwanwyn.org.uk
