Welsh cakes and a cuppa for St David's Day

Published on 27 February 2012 02:00 PM

We'll be celebrating St David's Day this week (Thursday 1 March) by offering callers to our shops in Cardiff and Pontypridd a free cup of tea and a Welsh cake.

Customers who visit the Age Cymru Enterprises shops at 58 Merthyr Road, Whitchurch in Cardiff and 25 Taff Street (opposite Iceland) in Pontypridd on Thursday will receive the traditional Welsh welcome.

Age Cymru's Development Manager George Burke says:

"We're a very patriotic bunch at Age Cymru and we like to celebrate St David's Day.

"This year we're marking our patron saint's day by offering callers to our shops in Cardiff and Pontypridd a traditional Welsh welcome.

"There'll be a cup of tea - or coffee, and a Welsh cake for anyone who visits the Age Cymru Enterprises shops on St David's Day.

"The kettle will be on this Thursday, so make sure you pop in to see us."
