How you can help...

If you are a local Age Cymru partner, you can help older people with any of these three simple steps:

1. Ask GPs in your area to prescribe benefit checks to older people by attaching a copy of the 'Benefits, entitlements and financial assistance - a guide for older people in Wales' booklet opens link in new window (PDF 669kb) to any prescription they write for older people, or giving away the booklet with repeated prescriptions.

We can arrange for the booklets to be delivered directly to GPs' surgeries.

Watch the video below to see how our sister charities Age UK Darlignton and Age UK North Tyneside engaged with GPs in their areas to help older people claim what is rightfully theirs.

2. Organise events to reach vulnerable older people with our 'Benefits, entitlements and financial assistance - a guide for older people in Wales'  booklet and posters.

3. Order and give or send out copies of the  'Benefits, entitlements and financial assistance - a guide for older people in Wales' booklet.
