On Thursday 5 May 2011 voters in Wales elected 60 new Assembly Members to the National Assembly for Wales.  In this short video older people challenge the new Assembly Members to tackle issues of importance to them.

The Assembly has an important role in making decisions that impact on the day-to-day lives of older people in Wales with responsibility for a range of policy areas including: health and social care, education, environment, transport, housing, local government, town and country planning, and the welsh language.

Further to this, in the run up to the elections Age Cymru produced a manifesto, Opportunities: the age manifesto for the National Assembly, which highlights six key things that older people in Wales have told us need to change:
