Opportunities and Challenges: Our ambition for public policy in Wales

Age Cymru has launched a comprehensive policy report “Opportunities and Challenges, our ambition for public policy in Wales”. The report provides an in depth analysis of the policy areas which affect older people and identifies ways in which the UK Government, Welsh Government and local authorities can work together to improve the quality of life of older people in Wales.

The successful launch event and political reception, held at the Senedd, was attended by Assembly Members, the Deputy Older People's Commissioner for Wales and a range of representatives from across the third and public sectors.

There were presentations from Helen Mary Jones AM, Dr. Bernadette Fuge - Chair of Age Cymru and Victoria Lloyd - Director of Influencing and Programme Development at Age Cymru.

The launch marks the first public policy report since the merger of Age Concern Cymru and Help the Aged in Wales.
