The new centre offers a selection of health, wellbeing, social and day care activities, situated in the beautiful surroundings of Chaddesden Park, Derby.
Who is it for?
The Chaddesden Centre is for older people living in Chaddesden or Derby city.
We offer:
A wide variety of regular services and events, sporting clubs, social groups and occasional activities.

How can I use it?
Anyone can refer themselves or someone else to the Chaddesden Centre. Referrals are also encouraged from social workers, GPs VCS agency, carers and relatives.

Small charges will apply for most activities.

About the centre
The Chaddesden Centre is available to hire and offers a welcoming, flexible and good value venue for your activity or event.
The Centre has recently been refurbished to a high standard and includes excellent facilities including a wood laminate floor ideal for dancing, exercise etc, double glazing, central heating and ample electricity points. The main room is light and airy, offering a modern and attractive setting for a wide variety of activities.
Included in any room hire is use of the kitchen which is large, well equipped and has also been upgraded with new appliances, crockery, cutlery and equipment. The kitchen is well-sized for catering even large parties or group cookery sessions.
The Centre now also offers a private consultation room offering a quiet, confidential space ideal for consultations, interviews, counselling sessions or informal meetings of up to 4/5 people.
Disabled access
The premises are accessible for people with disabilities, there is a gentle access slope to the front door, the entire centre is single storey and offers a large disabled toilet facility. There is limited disabled parking immediately outside the centre which can be booked with room hire.
Where is the centre?
The centre is based on an access road within Chaddesden Park, next to the library and near to the sports facilities and children’s play area within the park. There is ample free parking in the park car park within 150 yards of the centre.
The surroundings are beautiful with mature trees, shrubbery, parkland paths and wildlife all on the doorstep.
