Dementia Day Service
This specialist day service operates from our Thorne Road premises offering practical support to people who have Alzheimer's and other types of dementia. The service is available from 8.30am to 8.30pm. You can choose how long you want to stay for as the service can be purchased by the day or by the hour.

Day Services
All of our day centres provide freshly prepared home-cooked meals. For many of our service users the meal is a very important part of the day. A lot of effort is put in to making the menu as varied and nutritional as possible. All catering staff are trained in safe food hygiene practices. We have a very good relationship with the Environmental Health Officers who have rated our working practices at all of our centres as 'Excellent'.

Our day centres are a place for older people to meet, make friends and join in various activities. Our mini buses have been specially adapted to take wheelchairs and service users can be picked up from their doorstep and taken home at the end of the day or can make their own way to and from the centre if they prefer.

Purpose built centres
There are three purpose built centres, Crimpsall in Hexthorpe, Moat Hills in Bentley and Sandalwood in Wheatley Hills all providing a seven day a week service throughout the year even on CHRISTMAS DAY and over the rest of the festive period.

In addition, Monday to Friday a Borough-wide service operates one day each week from various community locations right across Doncaster.

Tuesday - The Linney Centre, Balby and Limetree Court Hyde Park
Wednesday - Methodist Church, Cantley and The Goldsmith Centre, Sprotbrough
Thursday - The Community Centre, Armthorpe
Friday - Community Centre, Edenthorpe and Circuit House, Woodlands
