Jean lives alone and her daughter asked if we could help as mum was getting very lonely. We introduced Jean to our volunteer visitor Sarah and they get on like a house on fire.

 

 

 

 

 


Become a Friend of Age UK Exeter - Betty's story

Betty told us she had nowhere to turn. Her health meant her home wasn't suitable for her anymore, andshe was distraught. We spent a long time helping Betty relocate and put in lots of different services to help her adapt.

 

 

 

 


Become a Friend of Age UK Exeter - Samuel's story

Samuel had a crisis. He called us to say his roof had collapsed, his bed was covered in lath and plaster and he had no one to help him even begin to sort out the mess and get things fixed. Our staff were able to react straightaway.

 

 

 

 


Become a Friend of Age UK Exeter - £15£15 per year will support someone like Jean to be introduced to a weekly visitor

 

Become a Friend of Age UK Exeter - £30£30 will mean that someone like Betty can get the information they need from our Information and Advice service

 

Become a Friend of Age UK Exeter - £50£50 will mean that someone like Samuel can have a community worker visit them when they get stuck or face a crisis that needs someone to help there and then
