Here are some of the ways in which your support helps us make a difference...
Jean lives alone and her daughter asked if we could help as mum was getting very lonely. We introduced Jean to our volunteer visitor Sarah and they get on like a house on fire.
Betty told us she had nowhere to turn. Her health meant her home wasn't suitable for her anymore, andshe was distraught. We spent a long time helping Betty relocate and put in lots of different services to help her adapt.
Samuel had a crisis. He called us to say his roof had collapsed, his bed was covered in lath and plaster and he had no one to help him even begin to sort out the mess and get things fixed. Our staff were able to react straightaway.
£15 per year will support someone like Jean to be introduced to a weekly visitor
£30 will mean that someone like Betty can get the information they need from our Information and Advice service
£50 will mean that someone like Samuel can have a community worker visit them when they get stuck or face a crisis that needs someone to help there and then

Age Positive: rather than talk about ‘the elderly’, ‘pensioners’ or ‘OAPs’, which can be excluding or have negative connotations, we use the term ‘older people’. Age UK Exeter is committed to helping people love later life.
