The St David’s group meets at the Imperial Hotel on New North Road every Tuesday between 10.30am and noon. It is a lively group of people who enjoy each other's company and who warmly welcome newcomers. It’s a group that loves a good debate, thrives on new learning from visiting speakers, and shares the love of humour and laughter. St David's - The History Group

Imperial Hotel, New North Road

Fortnightly on Thursdays - please call Claire (see below) for details of dates as certain restrictions create some variation.

Do you have an interest in local and national history? Would you enjoy sitting in relaxed company, drinking a great cup of coffee/tea and discussing some aspect of this nation's long and varied story? The subjects are always interesting, the group is always welcoming and Hamish, who leads this extraordinary journey, is always entertaining! Contact Claire on 01392 202092 for more information.

Social life in the city

Age UK Exeter aims to spread its services and activities right across Exeter to reach all older people in the city.

We are aware that not everyone can, or wants, to come to the centre in St Thomas, so we thought we could try to make lots of mini-centres around the different districts so all older people can access information, advice and social support if needed.

If you would like to see us organising an activity in your area, do let us know.

Age Positive: rather than talk about ‘the elderly’, ‘pensioners’ or ‘OAPs’, which can be excluding or have negative connotations, we use the term ‘older people’. Age UK Exeter is committed to helping people love later life.
