Photo Competition Terms and conditions

Please read the below terms and conditions before entering the competition.

The competition is open to all UK residents over the age of 18 years old.
Entry to the competition is via email campaigns@ageuk.org.uk or post Age UK Campaigns Team, Tavis House, 1–6 Tavistock Square, London WC1H 9NA.
Age UK reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants.
Entry to the competition is free. No purchase necessary.
Age UK require photographs of people in later life during the cold winter months. Entrants must submit a photograph(s) of themselves and/or an older family member or friend during the colder months to be eligible for entry.
Entrants who submit a photograph of a family member or friend must only do so with the agreement of the family member and/or friend.
Entry implies acceptance of these terms and conditions.
The winner will receive a Canon Power Shot SX220 HS Digital Camera and memory card both currently on sale on Amazon for a total of £189 (the “Prize”). No cash alternatives will be offered and the Prize is non- transferable and non- negotiable.
The competition runs from the 17th day of September 2012 until 5pm on the 10th day of December 2012. Entries received after this date and time will not be entered into the competition.
The winner’s photograph will be chosen by a selected Age UK panel of judges by no later than the 25th day January 2013. The winner will be notified within a reasonable time after the 25th day of January 2013 by email, telephone or post. The name of the winner will be made available at www.ageuk.org.uk.
Entrants may enter more than one photograph, but only one photograph will be chosen to win the competition. Age UK’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Prize is awarded conditionally upon acceptance and if a winner is unable to be contacted after a reasonable period or if any Prize is unclaimed or declined within a reasonable period, the Prize shall be deemed as unclaimed or unaccepted and a supplementary winner may be chosen at Age UK’s sole discretion.
Age UK will not be responsible for any inability of a Prize winner to take up the specified Prize.
Age UK accepts no responsibility for incorrectly completed, lost or delayed entries, or other documents related to the Prize.
Age UK will send the Prize to the winner by post. Age UK will not be responsible for any Prize which does not reach any winner for reasons beyond its control.
Entrants' personal information will be collected, stored and processed for the purposes of administering and assessing this competition.
Age UK reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the promotion and/or review and revise these terms and conditions at any time without giving prior notice and by continuing to take part in the promotion subsequent to any revision of these terms and conditions, entrants shall be deemed to have agreed to any such new or amended terms.
The Prize is subject to availability. In the event of unforeseen circumstances we reserve the right to substitute Prizes of equal value.
In the event of fraud, abuse, and/or an error affecting the proper operation of this competition, Age UK reserves the right to terminate or suspend this competition;
By submitting your photograph(s) to the competition, you confirm that you are the rights holder of the photograph(s) and agree to all rights in the photograph(s) being licensed to Age UK and its group of subsidiary companies and charities, on a royalty free, perpetual and non-revocable basis. Further, you permit Age UK to use the photograph(s) for promotional purposes including, but not limited to, Age UK’s Spread the Warmth campaign.
You agree that Age UK may sub license all the rights granted to it under these terms, to its local and national partners.
The promoter is Age UK of Tavis House, 1-6 Tavistock Square, London WC1H 9NA. This promotion is governed by English Law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
