Why campaign with us?

Millions of older people are facing later life alone. Our vision is a world where older people have opportunities to participate in society and enjoy life, as much as possible, for as long as possible.

Through our campaigning, Age UK's supporters have already achieved a great deal for older people, including:

  • new legislation to reform the care system in the Care Act
  • securing funding for winter health programmes that make sure older people can keep warm and well in the winter
  • closure of a loophole in the application of human rights law meaning more older people are covered by the Human Rights Act when receiving care and support.
