Why not update your Facebook status with your fundraising link? All of your friends will see this in their news feeds and you could post it on their walls for an extra push. You could ask your friends to post your link via their status’s, this way you can reach people you might not know. Post your link on the Age UK Facebook page! We will try to help as much as possible
Use your update to link your fundraising page and why people should sponsor you. Retweet! Ask your followers to retweet your message so you can reach their followers too. Age UK have their own Twitter site – @age_uk - make sure you share your link with us and we can try to help by using our Twitter account.
You could use YouTube to create videos related to your fundraising. This could be videos of your training, how you have been raising money or simply telling your viewers what you’re doing and why they should donate. To use our videos and showcase some of Age UK's work visit our YouTube channel, and you can embed our videos on your fundraising page.
If you have a blog this is a great way to share your photos and videos and social networking posts in one place. If you don’t have a blog but you have a great story, why not start one?
You could take pictures of your training or event and post them onto a photo sharing network such as Flickr or Picasa (soon to be part of Google+). Your pictures can show what you’re doing and why you’re doing it. Remember to share your page!
