Fit as a fiddle in the East Midlands aims to sustain older people’s health by encouraging participation in exercise and healthy eating classes. The programme will demonstrate the link between being healthy and feeling happy.
Many older people can feel isolated and separated from ‘mainstream society’. Age Concern wants to stamp out this exclusion‚ and fit as a fiddle is a fun and exciting project that helps achieve this by bringing people together.
Our classes range from chair-based exercise to walks in the park. We also run a range of cookery classes‚ from how to make a healthy soup to baking a cake for a diabetic. All our classes are designed to be fun and open to new ideas.
