Fit as a fiddle in the Eastern region runs a varied programme of eight projects‚ delivered in partnership with a range of local organisations‚ including Age UKs/Age Concerns‚ Local Authorities‚ County Sports Partnerships‚ the NHS‚ and Charity and Voluntary Organisations. The projects address local need in their areas and will deliver a range of activities‚ including:

  • healthy eating sessions
  • cookery and nutrition classes
  • promotion of physical exercise through activities such as dancing‚ walking‚ seated exercise‚ tai chi‚ yoga‚ and allotment activities
  • support for people to improve their mental well-being

The projects will work with a wide range of people aged over 50‚ including:

  • community groups
  • people living in rural‚ isolated or disadvantaged areas
  • people in sheltered and residential accommodation

The emphasis for all the projects will be encouraging people to take part‚ learn new skills‚ meet new people and above all enjoy life to the full!
